Description:

Located on Interstate 5, mile points 194.5 to 196.5, adjacent to the City of Coburg, the interchange will undergo physical improvements. The project’s purpose is to improve safety and efficiency of travel on Coburg Industrial Way, Roberts Road, Pearl Street and Interstate 5.
The I-5/Coburg project will:

  • Close access to Roberts Road on the south side of Pearl Street with a cul de sac.
  • Connect Roberts Road to the intersection of Coburg Industrial Way and Pearl Street by constructing a new road, Coburg Industrial Way South.
  • Widen and lengthen the I-5 southbound on-ramp to accept 2 lanes turning east to south from Pearl Street.
  • Add a free flowing slip lane for a right turn north to Coburg Industrial Way from westbound Pearl Street.
  • Add water quality facilities to allow for drainage and water treatment for run-off from the new impervious surfaces as well as existing roadway surfaces.
  • Improve bicycle/pedestrian facilities and allow for connectivity to the Coburg Loop Path.
